We Call It Hippie Christmas; You Might call it Dumpster Diving.

Our Favorite way of Collecting, we call our #Hippie Christmas. There is nothing much better, than diving in Dumpsters, and finding free Treasures. We have found some pretty amazing items. We have raked in 8 mini fridges, 1 deep freezer, 3 student desk, 5 coffee tables, an #Antique table and chairs from #Amish Country Pennsylvania, countless table and desk chairs, numerous dressers, bed frames and so much more, that I cannot even begin to list it all.

I will post pictures periodically of items we have found; I will tell you if it sold, and for how much. I know I have made at least $800 off all the free items, we have found, if not more. I am terrible at record keeping. That is my next goal to tackle, inventory of my items that have sold, and that I still have...

We use to clean houses and apartments, for rental agencies around the campus. You would be aghast at what students leave behind, when they graduate or disappear for the summer.  Here is a Mandolin that a student left behind. I sold it for $45.  I had several people offer me $20-$30 for it, but I stuck to my price. Took a little longer to sell, but I know it was worth the $45 I sold it for.

I have a funny story to share, in my next post. I crack a smile, every time I think of it, and look at the Rolling Stones Zippo Lighter I gained from the Hippie Christmas Trip.  I met Captain Jack Sparrow in a Dumpster.
